Makes One Loaf 3 Cups sifted enriched Trip. Vs tsp. minced onion
lett's self-rising flour 1 egg, beaten Vi cup sugar 1 Vs cups milk 1 cup sharp Cheddar Vi cup me)ted shortencheese
ing or oil
Sift together flour and sugar into mixing bowl. Stir in cheese and onion, blend together egg, milk and shortening or oil. Add liquid all at once to flour mixture, stirring only until flour is moistened. Turn into greased 5Vsx9‘/2 loaf pan. Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven about 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack several minutes before removing. Slice in large pieces and serve warm.
