C&P Entertains
Local Educators
As the new school year approaches, the C&P Telephone Company took three days of many of our busy educator’s time to provide them with an insight of telephone operations. Coordinated by employment supervisor, Mr. Bryant E. White, the program is designed to assist the school system in providing our students with the necessary preparation to effectively handle today’s job assignments as well as those of the future. In tum, C&P has the benefit of receiving a better understanding of the aims, activities and problems of our educators.
The program included scheduled visits to the plant, commercial, traffic and personnel departments, where each of the ten visitors had an opportunity to review and participate in company operations. Everything, from placing a call on the operator’s switchboard to climbing a telephone pole was included in the workshop.
