Congressman John O. Marsh, Jr., said at a picnic given in his honor at Graves Mountain Lodge, Syria, Saturday afternoon that he felt there was a need for America to set for itself certain goals that it would seek to achieve within the next several decades.

“There are a number of disturbing signs in the country today that indicate a growing division among our people, and resulting unrest and resistance to authority. There is a need for a sense of national purpose in many areas of American life,” the Se venth District Congressman added.
