The VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY COLLEGES in conjunction with CHARTED INDUSTRIES, one of sev^n plants of an expanding organization located throughout the United States and Canada, is establishing a training center at 26 3rd Street in Warrenton, Virginia. The training center will be equipped with basic machine tools (Lathes, Drill Presses, Milling Machines, etc.). Qualified instructors have been selected to provide detailed instruction in set-up procedures, operation of machine tools, and related course work such as blueprint reading and basic mathematics. Classes will be offered three evenings per week from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., starting October 21. Applicants should have mechanical aptitude and a desire for self-improvement and education. The program will be offered at no cost to trainees. Textbooks and all supplies will be furnished. Successful completion of the program will insure immediate employment at CHARTED INDUSTRIES. Operator training programs and additional advanced programs will be offered to further tain employees for highly skilled work areas leading to supervision.
