For Motorcyclists
The 1968 General Assembly lias made it mandatory that l>ersons operating motorcycles liave their license to drive specially endorsed to operate these vehicles on and after January 1, 1969. Endorsements Lan be obtained now.
As a convenience to the large j number of persons who operate motorcycles in the State, the Division of Motor Vehicles is currently giving special motorcycle driver examinations at all of their examining stations to enable operators to obtain the proper endorsement. A motorcycle is any self-propelled vehicle with three wheels or less in contact with the ground.
Motorcyclists who wish to avoid the rush prior to the effective date of the new law should take this test immediately. TTie current MANUAL FOR DRIVER LICENSE APPLICANTS contains a special section, “Motorcycle Operation” which should be studied carefully before appearing for the examination now being given.
