Lewis Nelson and Robert Anderson of Washington, D. C. were dinner guests last Wednesday of Mrs. Ethel Cooksey and Mrs. Annie Latham. Edward Brown of Alexandria was their afternoon visitor and the Rev. and Mrs. A. C. Walker and family of Culpeper were guests for supper.
Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Kidwell of Kilmarnock were guests from Friday until Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. George Kidwell. Additional dinner guests Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. George Kidwell, Jr. of Washington, Va.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kinze, Mrs. Betty Baker and daughter Penny of Malden, Mo. have been the guests for two weeks of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Curtis. They will return to their home this weekend.
Miss Landra Dennis, a student at VCU, Richmond, spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Dennis and L. H. Luttrell. She ’ was a visitor Saturday evening of Mrs. Sarah Latham and Susan.
Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Curtis of Orlean and Mr. and Mrs. Talmadge Voorhies of McLean were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Curtis Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Shifflett and two children of Durham, N. C. were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hackley.
Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Williams and family were Mrs. C. C. Sanders of Fairfax, Mrs. Carolyn Corbin of Falls Church and Pfc. Charles C. Sanders of Ft. Leonardwood, Mo. Pfc. Sanders has completed his basic and AIT training with the U. S. Army and was spending a 15-day leave with his mother.
Friday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Bowey were Mr. and Mrs. John Havener of Oxon Hill, Md. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Bowey attended the harvest luncheon of the Pioneer Grange in Falls Church, and in the afternoon visited Mr. and Mrs. George Morgan.
Mrs. Joyce Robb was an afternoon visitor Monday of Mrs. Jesse Settle.
Billy Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne, was a patient in Winchester Memorial Hospital from Wednesday until Saturday with a concussion.
Mrs. F. L. Bowey and Mrs. S. W. Riley were luncheon guests Friday of Mrs. I^>el Laing in Purcellville and accompanied by Mrs. Laing attended the craft exhibit in Waterford.
Airman Jimmy Latham has returned to his post at Maguire AFB, N. J. after spending a leave at his home here recovering from pneumonia.
