Stir together flour and sugar. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs Blend together egg and 1 , cup milk. Add liquid all at once to flour mixture, stirring until flour is moistened If necessary, add more milk to make a soft dough. Turn onto lightly floured board and knead gently .10 seconds. Roll out to 111 inch square Brush with melted butter. Combine brown sugar, nuts and 1 teaspoon coffee; sprinkle evenly over dough Roll up jelly roll fashion, sealing edges. Cut roll into 12 ' one inch thick slices. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake in preheated T25 oven 12 to lf< minutes, or until golden brown.
