vehicles met on a curve and Woodard skidded into the side of Day. Woodard was charged with failing to drive to the right of the road.
The following day, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Route 522 north of Flint Hill. A 67 Chevrolet owned and operated by Herbert Jackson Mitchell of Martinsburg, W. Va. ran off the right of the road, veered back across to the left, through a fence and came to rest in a field. The driver had lacerations of the head. The vehicle was a total loss and Mitchell was charged with reckless driving.
Henry Edward Gore of Sperryville was charged with failing to drive to the right of the road when he collided with Jacqueline Diane Polak of Alexandria January 5. The crash occurred on Route 231 south of Sperryville. Gore was operating a 67 Chevrolet convertible when he met the Polak car, a 62 Oldsmobile. He swerved into the other traffic lane and struck the Polak car, said Trooper J. B. Willis. Damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $300 and to the Olds at $450.
