Mrs. Mildred Melody
Mrs. Mildred Noce Melody, 47, of Barnstable, Mass, died suddenly December 18, 1968 at Chelsea Naval Hospital, Charleston, Mass, of unexpected complications after a long illness. She was the daughter of Lt. Gen. Daniel Noce, U. S. Army ret. and Mrs. Noce who live near Sperryville.
She is survived by her husband,' I Lt Col. Philip Melody and their I
I six children, Dianna Elizabeth,; Susan Jane, Daniel Noce. Nancy' [Olivia, David Hassler and
|Catherine Anne, all of Barnstable: a brother. Lt. Col. Robert W. |Noce, U. S. Army, Vietnam.
A funeral service was held December 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Man’s Episcopal Church and interment was in Lothrop Hill Cemetery. Barnstable.
Mrs. Melody was bom in Boston. Mass. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and past president of the Women of St. Mary’s Church. She and her children had resided at Laurel Hills Farm near Castleton in f Rappahannock with her parents while her husband served for 16 months in Korea.
