Mr Marsh has reintroduced legislation in Congress to authori/.e federal acquisition of land hHd under option by the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Culpeper. Va , for a proposed extension to the national cemetery there In offering the bill again, the 7th District Congressman said:
I have no illusions that this bill in support of the fine VWI effort in Culpeper will receive approval unless the Congress is inclined to re-examine policy on national cemetery burial rights for our veterans, but 1 believe this re-examination is overdue, and I hope my bill may call attention to this matter Marsh added that he saw merit in proposals supported by other members of Congress to use space in j national battlefield parks for veteran burials
"The well maintained national cemetery at Culpeper is one of the few in the United States where space remains available to veterans, and the time is running out o- a national policy deU .nation as to whether or not the United States is willing to provide honored public bunal space for its veterans of all wars," Marsh commented
