Mr. and Mrs. T. Melvin Williams, Jr. of New Haven, Conn, were overnight guests Saturday of Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead at Fairlea. Mr. Williams who attends Yale Divinity School was guest speaker Sunday at the Washington Baptist Church.

Dr. John Turner and son Louis of Chapel Hill, N. C. spent the weekend of December 27 with his mother Mrs. L. J. Turner at her home on Mt. Salem Avenue.

Mrs. Earl Edmonds of Huntly was the Sunday dinner guest of Miss Mary Miller Wood.

Ned Moffett Jones returned last Thursday to V.P.I. and Miss Segar Jones to Westhampton College after spending the holidays with their parents Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones.

Col. and Mrs. E. A. McNear entertained at dinner Sunday night at Greenwood honoring Col. and Mrs. Eugene Winters of Warrenton Training Centre who are leaving the area.

Miss Nancy Lillard returned to Monroe College, Middletown on Thursday and Douglas Lillatd returned to Ferrum Junior College Friday after spending the holidays with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lillard.

Mrs. Henry M. Keys^r returned home Friday after spending several days as the guest of Dr. and Mrs. Alfred Armstrong in Williamsburg.

Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Buntin and daughter Nancy spent from Friday until Sunday as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. Lowell Jennings in Danville. On Sunday Miss Buntin returned to V.C.U. in Richmond. While in Richmond Mr. Buntin visited Marion G. Watts at McGuire Veteran’s Hospital.

Guests during the holiday of Mr and Mrs. C. B. Palmer and family included Nick Valdrighi of Richmond and Miss Nan Gilbert of Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. and daughter Cil returned home December 31 after spending the Christmas holidays with the Rev. and Mrs. Park Dickerson and daughter Lynn in Johnson, Vt.

Mrs. Luther Coppage of Marshall and daughter Mrs. John Heyl of Warrenton were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. J. M. Lillard.
