Anne Baumgardner received an award in the Horse and Pony Club. She was a winner at the Virginia State Fair held in Richmond last fall.
Club leaders whose assistance was acknowledged with deep gratitude were Mrs. Lois Snead who is instrumental in the progress and quality production of the 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club in the county and Mrs. Hubert Gilkey who assists with club work in the Chester Gap area and conducted a basic sewing course for these club members.
In the boys division, achievement recognition went to Dickie Jenkins and Paul Nichols
