talented Gobblers in the opening minutes of the third period. With 5:26 remaining, the Broadway contingent saw their advantage evaporate and the aggressive Panthers go out to a 41-40 lead.
Then, sparked by the play of C. W. Grandle and towering center Rod Burkholder, the Gobblers began to come to life. When the Panthers had previously been able to work the ball in, the Broadway defense forced long shots which were off the mark.
