Maybe so, maybe not. Could be you’re fooling yourself in entertaining such a thought. I suspect quite a few of these bulls that will sell at Culpeper will go for less than $800. A couple years ago Ray Cannon paid twice this for Kingdom Elevate 223, which he selected on looks and performance record as well as performance of his dam.
Because of what this bull has done for Ray’s herd, he sold half interest in the bull this week for more than twice what he paid and will still retail the bull for his own use! Guess he made a pK>fitable investment. Right?
UTBE Eleenmere is a cripple and ten years ago would have gone for hamburger. Not so today. And I’ll wager he’s added many handsome dollars to Ned Johnson’s beef income. All bulls with good rate of gain records, pass this trait on to their sons and daughters. Bulls with built-in ability make profits in the beef business.
Silent Day Observed
“Silent Day” was observed Tuesday, February 25 at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Pupils in grades 4 through 7 were to remain quiet all day, eliminating all unnecessary talking or noise. Whenever noise occurred, out of order, the student was fined a penny.
