Cattle Branding
Demonstrated
Those attending the Cattle Identification Demonstrations at H. L. Manwaring’s South Red Oak Ranch last Saturday afternoon were:
Mrs. Lois D. Snead and Lib of Washington
Col. N. J. Wilbur and son of Slate Mills
Mr. Plantt of Madison
Mr. Lee Payne and son, Kenneth , of W'oodville
Mr. Ray T. Cannon of Castleton, who demonstrated breeze branding.
In fact, most all present got a try at this method. (Contrary to the law of the range, Mr. Manwaring stated no one could claim the cow just because he put the brand on but may do so upon payment of a purchase fee).
