Mrs. Mary Herndon King

Mrs. Mary Herndon Green King, 76, wife of Col. Charles W. King of Ben Venue, Washington, Va. died Monday, February 24, 1969 in the Winchester Memorial Hospital.

She was born at Ben Venue in Rappahannock County, March 10, 1892 daughter of the late Edward M. Green and Louise Fletcher Green, j Surviving with her husband are a daughter Mrs. Louise King Eastham and two grandsons Fletcher King Eastham and Lindsay Willoughby Green Eastham, all of Ben Venue, Washington.

Mrs. King was a charter member and historian of the Kate Waller Barrett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Alexandria. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, transferred from Grace Episcopal Church in Alexandria. A funeral service will be held today, Thursday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, Va. with the Rev. William M. Hargett officiating. Interment will be in the family cemetery at Ben Venue. Serving as pallbearers will bei Thomas V. Williams, Stanish! Riley, George Miller, George! Beard, James F. Massie, and1 James M. Duncan, III. Maddox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Robert T. Browning

Robert Turner Browning, 64, of Short Hills, New Jersey, died in a hospital there on February 20, 1969. He was a former president and chairman of the Board of Wallace & Tieman Inc., of East Orange, N. J. He was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Browning was born in Flint Hill, a son of the late Edgar Robert Browning and the late Lucy G. Turner Browning. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Alice! Wilkie Browning of Short Hills, N.J., one brother, John S. Browning of Flint Hill, and twoi nephews, John B. Browning of Charlottesville and Edgar K. Browning of Princeton, N. J. A graveside service was held Saturday at 12 noon in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal, conducted by the Rev. C. Edward I Pruitt of Flint Hill.
