Mrs. Ruth J. Keyser
The WSCS met* Thursday with Mrs. W. A. Gentry. The program study was conducted by Mrs. Gentry with the theme “Coming to Life”. Present besides the hostess were Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. Edward Pruitt, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr., Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr. and Mrs. Paul Miller:
Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Clatterbuck and son Sammy were visitors Sunday of Mrs. Clatterbuck’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd L. Rogers in Purcellville. The Rogers entertained with a party in honor of their son Allen who has recently entered service in the U. S. Army.
Mrs. Lyle Rector spent the week-end at her home and returned Sunday night to Winchester Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
W. C. Gentry returned home Friday after being a patient in Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
Robert L. Massie, Jr. of the University of Maryland spent the week-end with his mother, Mrs. F. W. Spalding.
Edgar K. Browning of Princeton, N. J. spent from Friday until Tuesday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning. John B. Browning of Charlottesville also spent the week-end at his home.
Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Thelma Russell were Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Russell and daughter Mary Rebecca of Winchester and Mr. and Mrs. Patterson Biggs.
Mr. and Mrs. James Vest, Mr. and Mrs. John Vest, accompanied by Rodney Vest of Woodville, attended funeral services ITiursday for Otho Looney at Montevale.
