Panther Tales

Congratulations to the Panthers on their fine effort against Broadway in the District 10 Tournament. Although they lost 72 to 58 to a larger team with more height, the Panthers refused to give up.
Last Saturday, teachers from the Warren and Rappahannock County school attended a divisional meeting at the Rappahannock County Elementary School.
Officers of the clubs and organizations are making plans for new times for their meetings. A different schedule other than lunch time will be set up.
Everyone here is hoping Mrs. Burford will recover soon. We would like to welcome Mr. Dement who is here in her place.
This week I interviewed Charles Jackson. His favorite song is “Can’t I Change My Mind”. His favorite singer is Marvin Gaye. His favorite expression is the “Boy”.
“What do adults misunderstand about teenagers the most,” Charles says, ’’that they don’t understand our music and dances.”
Charles plans to join the labor force when he graduates.
4-H Meeting
The 4-H meeting in Mr. Wayland’s seventh grade room was called to order on January 17 by president Floyd Alther. Then the pledge of allegiance and 1-H pledge was repeated. The group was led in singing by song leader Carolyn Glascock. The devotions leader read a Psalm from the Bible. The secretary' read the minutes of the last meeting and old or new business was called for.
Mr. Lyne showed the group how to take a dog’s pulse and temperature. After a period of questions by Miss Burtner the meeting was adjourned.
