Judge and Mrs. W. F. Moffett and son Frank spent Sunday in Springfield with Mrs. Moffett’s parents the Rev. and Mrs. C. E. Buxton. They were joined there by Page Moffett who was returning from a six weeks NROTC Mediterranean cruise Col. and Mrs. E. A. McNear returned to their home Greenwood Monday from Warren, Ohio where they spent several days and attended the marriage of their son Major Richard E. McNear and Miss Jean Beeghly, Saturday in Youngstown, Ohio and reception at Poland.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Styer spent the weekend in Ohio and attended the McNear-Beeghly wedding. They will leave today to spend several days with friends in Phoenixville, Pa.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Lester Burke and son Karl visited friends in Windham, Ohio from Friday until Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Burke attended the McNear-Beeghly wedding on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Vaughan of Stafford were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Burke at their home on Blue Ridge Avenue. Sunday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. William Hershey of Bristol, Pa. and C. Cletus Burke of Front Royal.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Campbell of Luray were Sunday supper guests of Judge and Mrs. B. M. Miller.
Mrs. L. J. Turner spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. William S. Dewhirst in Richmond.
Mr. and Mrs. Quenton McCoy returned home Thursday from a trip to several of the Canadian provinces.
Mrs. Downing Wood, Miss Mary Miller Wood and Miss Frances Wood spent Saturday in Charlottesville. Thursday Mrs. Downing Wood and Frances visited Mrs. Bruce Bowie in Culpeper. Winston Kemper of Manassas visited the Woods Tuesday. Joseph B. Reid and three sons of Arlington spent the weekend with his mother Mrs. C. G. Reid. Jack Ward of Boston were among the 40 from Culpeper who attended the Jehovah’s Witness Assembly last week in Atlanta.
Bob Barfield of Berryville, who spent two weeks with his grandmother Mrs. Hazel Barfield, left Sunday evening with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Barfield.
