Today’s Woman Judy Burtner Extension Agent, Home Economics 4 Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It breaks the fast of the night and provides a good start for the day. However, it is realized that many people do not like the traditional breakfast foods of cereal, bacon, egg, etc. so included in this article are breakfast foods that are nutritious, but yet are different and add variety to the days menu. Quick Coffee Cake 'A cup melted butter 'A cup sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 3A cup walnut halves 2 pkgs. biscuits. Brush bottom and side of a ring mold with part of the melted butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle 1/3 of mixture over bottom and side of the mold. Place a ring of walnuts in mold and cover with a layer of biscuits. Brush biscuit layer with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, add remaining nuts and another layer of biscuits. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. Eggs and Sausage Celeri 12 sausage links 6 slices toast 6 eggs, hard cooked 1 can cream 6f celery soup Grill sausage links. Heat soup undiluted. Split each sausage link lengthwise. Place two split sausage links on each slice of toast; pour hot soup over sausage and top each with egg slices. Cheese Bacon Crescent Rolls 1/3 cup shredded cheese 3 slices cooked bacon, crumbled 1 can crescent rolls 1 tablespoon bacon drippings 1 tablespoon milk caraway seeds. Mix cheese, bacon, and bacon drippings. Open rolls as package directs. Spread a thin layer of cheese filling over each triangle of dough. Roll as package directs. Place on a greased baking sheet. Brush with milk and sprinkle with caraway seeds. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Jiffy Breakfast Nog 1 egg 1 cup milk nutmeg 1 tablespoon sugar 'A teaspoon vanilla Pouj all ingredients into blender container. Blend on low until ingredients are all combined.
