Miss Brenda Lee Welch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Welch of Flint Hill, and Fred Wayne Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Payne of Boston, Virginia, were married on Saturday afternoon, June 28, in the Flint Hill Methodist Church. The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hudson of Washington, Virginia.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Edward C. Pruitt, of Mathews, Virginia, former pastor of the Flint Hill Methodist Church.
The church was decorated with vases of gladioli and fern. Mrs. Paul Miller of Flint Hill presented a selection of appropriate music, using the traditional wedding marches.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a street iengtn
spent Friday in Nokesville with Mr. and Mrs. David Fincham.
Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners were dinner guests Sunday of Major and Mrs. Charles Grizzle and also visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cline in Fredericksburg.
Mrs. W. R. Williamson spent several days last week in Richmond with her sister, Mrs. John M. Wray.
Guests last week-end of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Martin were Mr. and Mrs. Marshall T. Martin and son of Madison Heights and David Lee Martin of Amherst. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs Edward Martin were Mr. and Mrs Robert L. Jenkins of Culpeper.
