Consignment or nomination forms for the 1969 Rappahannock Angus Feeder Calf Sale will be mailed to prior consignors on the first of August. Please return your entries before August 21. This information is necessary to meet ad copydeadlines and to work out the inspection schedule.
Over the years Rappahannock cattlemen have built an enviable reputation for their high quality, good doing feeder calves. The Rappahannock Angus Feeder Calf Sale has helped to create and maintain this reputation. In fact, because of this sale, Rappahannock feeder calves are known throughout the Old Dominion, Maryland, Pennsylvania and the major cattle feeding areas of the mid western corn belt.
This sale has always ranked at or near the top of the state sales in price received per pound. Last fall’s Rappahannock sale ranked fourth from the top in the 36 state graded sales. The 1208 head sold for a total of $169,181.37 and averaged 29.31 per CWT.
