Flint Hill Firemen’s
Carnival Next Week i I The Flint Hill Fire Department’s Annual Carnival starts next week on July 30 and runs through August 2. A brilliant display of fireworks will be featured on Wednesday night.
A Grand Parade is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, beginning at 7 p.m. The parade this year is shaping up and promises to be more exciting than ever. It will contain more units and feature more outstanding attractions than in any previous years. Plate dinners will also be served by the Ladies Auxiliary on Thursday night.
Friday night a 700-lb. purebred registered black angus heifer donated by Admiral Josef Gardiner’s High Meadow Farm will be given away in addition to a second prize donated by Wall’s Jewelers.
The carnival will come to a climax on Saturday night with the awarding of the grand prize, a 1969 Plymouth, and three cash prizes.
On display all four nights in the fire hall will be the Virginia Department of Highways electrically operated State Fair Exhibit and the Virginia Game and Wildlife Exhibit, which will be free to the public. This is something that one should not miss seeing!
The brilliantly illuminated midway will boast all the major rides of the McSpadden Amusement Company oi Bradenton, Florida Man) concessions, games, and the other usual carnival attractions will be featured all four nights.
