Still Lag Badly
Contributions for Christmas Seals have lagged to the extent that the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia fears for its program for the next year.
“We have nursing seminars in the budget,” said Frank Raflo, association president, “and special work with our young people, as well as educational films and health-teaching leaflets for our youngsters. Funds will be needed so that we can continue supplying our indigent sanatorium patients with personal money, pajamas, robes, slippers and laundry. Funds are also badly needed for research projects in all areas of respiratory disease and for programs for pulmonary-af fected patients.” President Raflo is urging all citizens to back the fight against tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases, such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
