Now that the Christmas Season is here, it comes to mind that many homemakers are probably planning to buy clothing for their husbands and/or sons as gifts for Christmas. Of course, the ideal situation is that the man try it on in the store and work around and stand naturally before a full length mirror to get the effect.
If a man is considering a suit, the following points should be considered for proper fit:
1) Vi to 3A ” of shirt collar shows.
2) Shoulder length correct so armholes are in proper position.
3) Collar sets close to neck at back and sides.
4) Waist shaped only slightly
5) 'A to V4” of shirt cuff shows at wrist.
6) Coat covers seat of trousers.
7) Coat fits smoothly around hips, no flare.
8) Trousers fit easily and smoothly around waist and hips.
9) Trousers hang straight.
10) Trousers brush shoe tops.
If a garment does not fit perfectly, many stores will either make minor alterations or allow the customer to select another size.
