became Mrs. Billy Powers, but continued on for a time as Extension Agent. During her years of duty here demonstrations were had on restyling hats, cooking with herbs, hooking rugs, etching aluminum trays. The next agent was Miss Virginia Bames who stayed a little less than a year and in September of 58 Miss Anna Ruth Barnette came and remained as agent until October of 1961. In January of 1962 Miss Barbara Jones arrived as agent and remained until June of 63 Miss Harriet Goode was ther agent from August 63 until 64 She was followed by Miss Doris Daugherty from 65 until 66. Each of these young ladies were married and began careers as homemakers.
Miss Diane Brown was the nexi agent from September 66 to 6f and in January of 1969 the present representative arrivec here. She is Miss Judy Burtnei and has been one of, if not the most, active agents holding th« position.
Other projects which have beer undertaken include basic anc advanced sewing, crewe embroidery, reupholsterinf furniture, making lampshades covering shoes, making three demensional pictures, making cracked marble plaques, pillow making, flower arranging anc crocheting.
In December of 1962 Amissville Club underwent reorganizing after a lapse ol several years. Mrs. Latham, Mrs Riley and Mrs. Walter were agair charter members and were joinec by Mrs. Mary 84ach, Mrs. Doris Corbin, Mrs. Bertie Hackley, Mrs Julia James, Mrs. Katie James Mrs. Pauline Latham, Miss Marion Riley, Mrs. Jean Burner, Mrs. Bonnie Curtis, Mrs. Jeannette Curtis, Mrs. Edith Hackley, Mrs Mary Hitt, Mrs. Omega Hitt, Mrs Mary Priest, and Mrs. Juanita Settle.
