Many of our heartaches and sleepless nights have come because we have been using our heads in competitiveness for the almighty dollar and have left out the use of our hearts. For it was Solomon who said “Out of the heart flows the issues of life”. Modem mothers and fathers have failed to stress the need of love in every walk of life to their children. Our founding fathers and mothers taught their children God’s words that say, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending”. Our lust for gold and what it gets us in a material sense has made mockery of the statement “In God We Trust” and has led our children seemingly to believe that God’s goodness used by our foreparents should be done away with and replaced with the words of a philosopher who was all head and no heart and whose record says “He did this and wrote that and he died”. God is now and he was then and shall always be. Mankind’s leadership without God has given us what we have on our doorsteps now. - Hatred, violence and no respect for laws that were taken from God’s words.
Those youth who are being misled should take hold of the truth learned from the man who discovered that his house was leaking. He did not tear the house down. He replaced the worn out shingles with new ones and made his home as good as new. He did not threaten the man who sold him the house, nor did he pay his neighbors to demonstrate his business place. He realized that his house like the laws that governed the society had some imperfections and time rolls on and changes had to be made.
