Early Christmas Day on Route 522 just south of Flint Hill, Ernest Lillard Flint Hill sustained injuries in a single car crash. He was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital with a broken arm. He ran off the right of the road and struck a bridge abutment when he apparently fell asleep. He was charged with reckless driving.
On December 26 two vehicles collided just west of'Washington on Route 211. Involved was a 1964 Ford truck owned by Nish North and Son of Huntly and operated by Milton Clay Gore jr. ' and a 1966 Massie Fergueson I tractor and backhoe owned by Wallace Critzer of Washington and operated by Bruce Lee Critzer.
The tractor and backhoe were headed toward town when the truck approaced from the rear. The truck driver applied his brakes and skidded sideways into the backhoe. Charges were placed against both. Trooper J. B. Willis investigated both of the above crashes. A Trailways bus and an auto

Arts and Crafts Include Chair Bottoms
Weaving bottoms on stools and chairs is the January project of the Arts and Crafts group. Everyone is invited to join the group January 13 at Cab Inn, Sperryville at 10 a.m. when guest demonstrators will use sea grass or fibre to bottom • stool. Unfinished stpol seets end the grass for weaving can be ordered through the group for about $6.00. Call Mrs. Helen Kilby, 987-2551 for details. On January 27 weaving bottoms of cane will be demonstrated. Members not interested in bottoming a chair or stool should bring whatever handicraft they choose to work on. Bring a sandwich.
Clothing Workshop
There have been requests for the following workshops to be held in the Spring: A basic and tailoring. Bftsic would be for those persons who are interested
in learning to sew and tailoring for those/persons who know but yet wotfld like to learn how to construct a coat or suit. There is also a possibility that a knit workshop could be held, if there is an adequate number of persons interested. This is for those persons interested in learning to work with knit fabrics. Any persons interested in any af the workshops mentioned will need to contact the Extension Office 675-3619 to register; also, for further information.
