V Mrs. Lotus Partlow Ross, wifs of George S. Ross of Arlington died January 3, 1970 at the Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital in Arlington.
Mrs. Ross was bom in Rappahannock County, daughtei of the late Ellis Partlow and Mrs Mary R. Partlow of Arlington.
She is survived by her husband and mother.
A funeral service was held Tuesday at Ives Funeral home in Arlington at 1 p.m. with interment in the Masonic Cemetery in Washington, Va.
Charles B. Palmer
Charles Baker Palmer, Jr. of Washington, Va. died at his residence on December 23,1969. He was 54 years old and a native of Lawrenceville, Va. His parents were the late Charles B. Palmer and Amelia Harrison Palmer.
Mr. Palmer was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army. He was a member and former vestryman of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, and was employed as a rural letter carrier with the U. S. Post Office Department here. Survivors Include his wife, Mrs. Sallie Elmore Palmer; two sons, David Elam Palmer, U. S. Navy, and Charles Stewart Palmer, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Palmer Valdrighi of Richmond and Miss Amelia Harrison Palmer, also at home; a sister, Mrs. N. R. Neblett of Smithfield. A funeral service was held Saturday, December 27 at Trinity Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William M. Hargett, rector, and the Rev. Charles F. Glaenzer of Highland Springs officiating. Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nicholas Valdrighi, Drewry Hutcheson, Wayne Lucy, F. M. Baumgardner, Fred W. Schaefer and N. R. Neblett.
Floyd EL Johnson
A funeral service for Floyd Eugene Johnson of Bumpass was held Sunday, January 4, at Geest Funeral Chapel, Culpeper, with fHhe Rev. Elwood Crick officiating. Burial followed in Woodville Cemetery. Mr. Johnson, 67, an oil burner . ntechaoic. died Friday,-January 2, 1970, at a Staunton hospital. Son of the late Milton and Olivia Ford Johnson, he was a native of Slate Mills, Rappahannock County. He is survived by a son, Floyd Eugene Johnson, Jr., and two grandchildren, Floyd E. Johnson HI, and Tracy Elaine Johnson, all of Oxon Hill, Maryland. Pallbearers were Robert Fairfax, Earl Fairfax, David Fairfax, Claude Johnson, Charles Johnson, Jr., and Bryant Johnson.
