The New Market project is the second major war memorial to be built in Virginia ty Thorington. In 1955,f* the firm constructed the widely known Virginia War Memorial at Richmond. That structure, with its famed “Shrine of Memory,” commemorates the service and sacrifice of Virginians in World War II and Korea.
