a Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Semones and Mrs. Ruth Corbitt were guests during the Christmas holidays of the Semones son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hicklin and twins, Lana and Dona in Winston-Salem, N. C. They were joined Christmas Day by Mrs. Semones’ brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mays of Charlotte, N. C. The Semones returned home on Saturday and Mrs. Corbitt went to Charlotte for several weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. Mays. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Semones were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Winters and children Scott and Rhonda of Beltsville, Md. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Terhune held Open House on New Year’s Day for the Young Adult Class of Amissville Baptist Church. Mrs. Terhune is the teacher of that group. ' Mrs. Sarah Latham and daughter Susan were dinner guests New Year’s Day of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kephart in Herndon. Friday evening they were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. David Hoadley in Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Nethers, Misses Lucille and Marion Riley spent Tuesday in Richmond.
Douglas Silvey who has been stationed^at Fort Riley, Kansas, spent a two weeks leave with his parents Mr. and Mrs. John Silvey Jr. and returned to base Saturday. Holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Uoyd Poe included Mr. and Mrs. William Ray of Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Poe, Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Pullen, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Poe and Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Poe and their families. Their guests on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Poe of Woodbridge. Mrs. Odessa Ficklin is a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital and is visited frequently by her sister Miss Phoebe Green. Mr. and Mrs. William Britton and children Kareri hnd Ben of Front Royal were visitors Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Green and family and of> Misses Lucille, Garland and Marion Riley. Holiday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Compton were Mr. and Mrs. William Wharton of Arlington.
