Col. Evan A. McNear ia happy about the weather while most other folks are complaining. He thought Tuesday’s snowfall delightful and was very busy making preparations for the following day’s skiiers who would be coming to Skyline Ski Area which he operates. Skyline is located in Harris Hollow near Washington, Va. and with the cooperating weather, business had been good. Natural snow has been plentiful this season, but hard winds sweep portions of the slopes and the cover has to be supplemented with artificial snow. This is made by combining water with compressed air and spraying it through nozzles in below freezing temperatures. So all stations are go to blast off to Skyline Ski Area.
