A funeral service for Claude Pendleton Jordan, 74, of Front Royal was held Wednesday, January 21 at 2 p.m. at the Promise Land Baptist Church in Rappahannock County. The Rev. Carter Alsberry conducted the service. Burial was in the Jordan family cemetery. Mr. Jordan died January 17, 1970 in Warren Memorial
Hospital. He was born in| Rappahannock County, a son of the late George Jordan and Maria Stewart Jordan.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Jordan of Harrisburg, Pa.; three sons, George Jordan of Philadelphia, Richard Jordan of Front Royal and Edward Jordan of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Warren and Miss Lilly Jordan, both of Philadelphia; one brother, Marshall Jordan of Washington, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Poles of Front Royal and Mrs.
