Edward R. Arnold of Winchester was taken March 31 from Bradford’s Store in Flint Hill to Warren Memorial Hospital by the Flint Hill Rescue Squad. On April 3, Mrs. Mary Jane Riley was brought from Warren Memorial Hospital to her home on the Fodder Stack Road. Flint Hill Fire Company answered a call to a field fire on April 1 at the home of Robert J. Clatterbuck. On April 2 Sperryville Rescue Squad took William Elmer Haynes and Glenna Juanita Haynes from an accident on Route 231 to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Sperryville Fire Company responded to a field fire April 5 at the home of Lester Deal. On Sunday Sperryville and Washington Fire Companies answered an alarm to a field fire at the home of Frank Carter in Tiger Valley.
Sperryville Fire Company answered a call to a chimney fire at the home of Clarence Jenkins on Sunday.
Amissville Fire Department responded to a brush fire March 31 at the property of S. D. Hutton and April 1 the company was called to the Richard Pierson property but their service was not used.
Amissville Rescue Squad took Mrs. Louie Jeffries to Fauquier
Hospital, Warrenton on April 1. Mrs. Jane Weaver was taken to Fauquier Hospital on April 2.
