With the arrival of spring, con artists are not far behind. People are warned to beware of anyone offering a service, especially septic tank cleaning and exterminating, and charging an exhorbitant fee when the job is supposedly done. Older people are usually the target of such activities which have already begun in the local area. Do not subscribe to a service unless you are familiar with the company or personnel offering the service. If you are contacted by anyone who seems the least bit suspicious, note a license tag and get a description of the subject then contact the Sheriff’s Department or other officer.
