Mrs. Alice C. Sullivan Mrs. Alice C. (Cosy) Sullivan of Sperryville; widow of Arthur W. Sullivan, died April 3, 1971. She was 84. Oldest,, daughter of Jj.he wellknowffAmerican painter ^*William M. Chase, she was one of his favorite models. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward J. Haggerty of Sperryville; a son, Arthur C. Sullivan of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren; two brothers, R. Dana Chase and Robert Stewart Chase, both of New York. Funeral services will be held in Douglaston, N. Y. at Zion Episcopal Church on Saturday, April ,10, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Zion Episcopal Church is an old church dating back to 1830. During the 1930’s, after a bad fire, Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan were active in restoring the church to its original state.
