Monday Over Marshall
Wilbur Glascock on the mound for Amissville Monday struck out 14 and collected two hits himself to lead his team to victory over Marshall. This was the third win for Amissville in five games in the Fauquier County Baseball League with 12-13 year olds playing. Mike Smoot continued his hitting streak with a single and a triple in four trips to the plate. Barry Adkins also hit a triple.
Glascock allowed five hits. A double followed by a single accounted for the only Marshall run. Four Amissville runs were unearned due to errors made by Marshall.
Amissville will meet Upperville on the Amissville field Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Mike Smoot will pitch for Amissville. The public is invited.
