Sandra Kay Foster, a Longwood College senior from Flint Hill, made the dean’s list for academic excellence during the fall semester.
She is among 199 Longwood students, in an enrollment of 2,373 at the college, who achieved the distinction of earning an academic average of 3.5 (.B-plus) from a possible 4.0 during the first 16 weeks of the college year. The current dean’s list represents eight per cent of the student body. Miss Foster was one of 34 students who made a 4.0 or all A’s.
Sandra, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foster, is a 1968 graduate of Rappahannock County High School. She is an elementary education major who plans to teach upon graduation from college. Sandra is a member of the Wesley Foundation at Longwood.

A Youth Rally will be held at Thornton’s Gap Baptist Church on March 18 at 7 p.m. The speaker will be Brother Ed Hawkins, pastor of Bible Missions Church in Culpeper. All young people and adults are invited. □
