STATEMENT BY GOVERNOR
Farm Bureau members render an outstanding public service to our Commonwealth by providing' an effective and respected voice for an important segment of our citizenry.
Their principles of self-determination, respect for private property, and the adherence to laws and to properly constituted authority are foundations upon which our nation has achieved greatness.
The week of March 13-18, 1972, has been designated as FARM BUREAU WEEK in Virginia, and I urge the citizens of the Commonwealth to join me in paying tribute to the eighty-six county Farm Bureau units and to the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation for the outstanding contributions of Farm Bureau to the general-welfare of our state.
I commend this modern farm organization and its 25,000 family members for using Farm Bureau Week to recognize our Vocational Agricultural programs and the teachers who serve ^ L inwood Holton
