A county-wide spring clean up campaign is under way in Rappahannock County and an all out effort is scheduled for Saturday, April 8. At this time the young people will make a concentrated effort with the aid of all individuals and organizations to pick up and haul away trash and refuse. To clean up the county will take a lot of effort for there are numerous eyesores all over the county. On a residential street in Sperryville within a block area is this abandoned auto and debris from a building which burned several years ago. The tin roof and charred timbers are strewn around the partially collapsed shell of the block building. Along the river bank are hundreds of tin cans, paper and trash, and discarded cement from a business project nearby. Numerous complaints have been registered by area residents. Now is the time, with all signals on go, to make Rappahannock a better, cleaner place to live.
