“AMERICA, America,” resounded in the Town of Washington as residents of Rappahannock banded together in celebration of Independence Day Tuesday. Local school children presented a patriotic program which included individual and group singing and the Super Flea Market was acclaimed a success.
Large crowds assembled at the sales booths of the flea- market which offered everything from shoes to tomato plants. Bargain hunters and collectors were both in evidence.
Assorted home baked goods; breads, cakes, candies and cookies, among other things, were hastily purchased as the aroma and textures of the delectable products tempted many.
