A total of 230 cadets of the Virginia Military Institute were named to the Dean’s List at the end of the second semester. To be eligible for the academic honor, a cadet must have an average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all subjects with no grade below 2.0. The graduating class had 85 named while 56 second classmen (juniors) were among those named. There were 55 third classmen and 34 fourth classmen (freshmen) selected.
