The Chester Gap Firemen’s Carnival was a great success in spite of the fact that activities were curtailed two nights because of the rain. However, Friday and Saturday evenings produced large attendance and all went well. Fire Chief Bradley Williams said, “The results were better than our greatest expectations. We grossed more in the two nights than in four of better weather last year. Our organization is pleased with the support of the county people and those from neighboring areas.”
