Balderton adjoining Newark in Nottinghamshire and Mr. Springett has been vicar since. During his tenure there he has been instrumental in completing three building projects, new vestries for the church, a new vicarage and new church halls.
THE CHURCH WHICH HE SERVES seats about 350 people and according to the rector is “a very beautiful Norman and early English building with a graceful crocketed spire, some very fine early fifteenth century glass and fourteenth century woodwork.”
The Springetts are avid music and drama patrons and both are active in country “pro-am” theater. Mrs. Springett is especially knowledgeable about china and glass; she is president of the Young Woman’s Organization in the Diocese of Southwell.
He is interested in cricket, golf and soccer, while tennis is her game. □
