Aney Melissa and Tom Massie check on the pumpkin situation since it is so close to Hallowe’en. This assortment of pumpkins, green, yellow, orange and varigated, was grown by dad, Thomas B. Massie near Washington, from seed he ordered from North Carolina after seeing the ad for them in a farm magazine. The seed were supposedly from a 200 pound pumpkin. When the frost killed the weeds around them, this is what Mr. Massie found he had grown. The largest one weighed about 115 pounds (on the bathroom scales).
