season has been set from September 23 to November 21, in ocean waters and in designated portions of the Chesapeake Bay only, with shooting limited to positions at least 800 yards from any shore, island or emergent vegetation, and with a daily limit of seven birds of the three species combined. During the regular duck season beginning November 22 sea ducks may be hunted without regard to the foregoing area and distance restrictions, and the daily limit of seven sea ducks is in addition to limits established on other waterfowl species.
In the Back Bay area the season on Canada geese will open November 22 and close January 10, with a daily limit of one goose. Elsewhere throughout the state the goose season will open November 13 and close January 20, with a daily limit of three geese. Coots and mergansers may be hunted November 22 to January 20, with daily limits of 15 coots and five mergansers. □
