Mrs. Lou Emma Williams of Washington, Va. died January 18, 1973 at Shawnee Springs Convalescent Home in Winchester. She was the widow of Lovell Williams. Born April 28, 1879 in the Mt. Salem section of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Hamilton and Molly Sloan.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Lancaster of Bridgeport, Conn, and Miss Carroll Williams of Washington, Va., four sons, John H. Williams of Washington, Va., Lafayette Williams and Deacon Joseph L. Williams, both of Montclair, N.J. and James T. Williams of Philadelphia, Pa.; and two foster children, Lewis Butler of Sperryville and Roberta Jackson of Harrisburg, Pa.; five grandchil
