HOWEVER, I disagree with their views and I will tell you why. Today, so many difficult issues face local governments that they cannot deal with, many times they do not attempt to resolve many of the issues. By doing nothing they risk abandoning tlieir autonomy to higher levels of government.
When a specific problem at the local level reaches a certain magnitude, state and/or federal government will step in and do something about it — many times leaving very little de^_ cision-making to the-fcrcaPity.
