many important federal } grant programs require /y that localities file their “Notice of Intent to Apply” through a regional agency for its-review and comment. The Planning District Commissions are serving as this regional agency. This process is known as the A-95 Review Process.
The Planning District Commissions, also play the role as an (3) Information Source for Localities. This role refers primarily to planning information and financial assistance programs involving state and federal governments, plus elected types of information needed by and designed to help local governments operate more efficiently and effectively.
A FOURTH role is that of (4) Providing a Stronger Voice for Addressing State Government.
