Hunting pressure generally appeared to be lower in these counties although there is no way to quantitatively measure it.
Deer throughout the state this year seem to be large, heavy with fat and carrying heavy antlers apparently because of the abundance of mast last winter. Hie bear kill so far seems to be running behind last year’s success rate. □
